What we do
TransRegional, which is part of the Public Transport Authority's transport service portfolio, provides transportation options for those living in Western Australia's regional towns. They offer intra-town bus services in seven towns and school bus services in all 15 towns where they operate. Under existing arrangements, the various town bus services are provided by contractors from within the regional locations.
The towns where TransRegional services are available are Albany, Bridgetown, Broome, Bunbury, Busselton/Dunsborough, Carnarvon, Collie, Esperance, Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Karratha/Roebourne, Kununurra, Manjimup, Narrogin, and Port Hedland. Just like Transperth, TransRegional offers the same benefits and facilities to all passengers.
If you're looking to use SmartRider, our contactless electronic ticketing system, it's currently available in the following regional towns:
- Albany
- Bunbury
- Busselton
- Geraldton
- Kalgoorlie-Boulder
- Karratha
- Port Hedland
- Esperance
Transregional services currently do not provide change. If paying with cash, please ensure you have the exact fare
Please keep in mind that it is important to check with the Transperth InfoLine on 13 62 13 or your local operator for the most up-to-date service information, as school timetables may change throughout the year.
