Unsure about what you can take on board?
We’ve brought together information that you need to know before you travel on our services with your items. Unfortunately, space limitations and safety considerations mean there are some restrictions.
Here are some general guidelines you need to consider for items you wish to take on board:
- Mobility aids, such as a wheelchair or gopher, take priority on all TransRegional services
- Our staff have discretion over what can be carried on board
- Your items are your responsibility and should not be left unattended
- Passengers must dismount any personal transportation device listed below at the entry of all TransRegional facilities and services
- If the bus is full, we can ask you to wait for the next service
- Only manual or electric devices are permitted on TransRegional services – petrol or combustible fuel powered devices of any nature are not permitted
- Avoid causing other passengers any inconvenience or discomfort by keeping items out of aisles and off seats
- Avoid blocking entrances and obscuring the vision of bus drivers
- Buses have priority areas for seniors, people using mobility aids and parents with prams, please keep them available for people who need them.
If you use a mobility aid, such as a wheelchair or gopher, find maximum dimensions and other essential information here.
*Passengers must hold on to devices contained in bags and not leave them on the floor of buses and trains.
