Kununurra

Kununurra is a town in far northern Western Australia located at the eastern extremity of the Kimberley approximately 45 kilometres (28 mi) from the border with the Northern Territory. Its language is Miriwoong. Kununurra is the largest town in Western Australia north of Broome, with the closest town being Wyndham, 100 kilometres (62 mi) away.


The Kununurra Regional Town Bus Service (RTBS) operates under the brand name of TransKununurra. The TransKununurra bus service comprises of one Public Transport Authority owned green and silver liveried low-floor bus consistent, with the buses used by Transperth. The service consists of one dedicated school route within the Kununurra public transport area boundary operating on school days only.
