Busselton
Busselton is a vibrant city located in the South West region of Western
Australia, approximately 220 km south-west of Perth. Known for its beautiful
coastal setting, Busselton has long been a popular holiday destination for both
locals and tourists. The city is most famous for the
Busselton Jetty,
the longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, which stretches 1.8
kilometres into the turquoise waters of Geographe Bay. Just 27 kilometres south
of Busselton is
Dunsborough, a coastal town in the South West
that has become a favourite destination for school leavers during their annual
celebrations.
The Busselton and Dunsborough Regional Town Bus Service,
operating under the brand name
TransBusselton, provides
important public transport options for the region. The service includes three
town bus routes operating Monday to Saturday, with fourteen dedicated school
routes serving the area. The bus network connects the coastal strip from
Geographe
in the north to Dunsborough town centre in the south, helping
to link residents and visitors to key destinations and services. Designed to
operate outside of peak school hours, the service ensures that the towns are
well-connected and easily accessible, enhancing mobility for both the local
community and tourists.
